Edible landscapes
Food forest design , consulting and implementation
Why Edible Landscapes?
Eetbaar landschap wants to transform as much agricultural landscape as possible into biodiverse , edible and living landscapes. Places that are nourishing for us as humans, for animals, the earth and for future generations. Places where we as humans can once again enter into a creative relationship with our natural environment in order to create a valuable future for everyone in an ecological way.
As a landscape designer at Eetbaar Landschap, I want to guide you from A (apple) to Z (black currant) in the design and implentation of your food forest.
We can design at your home, property, farm, community or park.
I like professional approach with a high degree of co-creation.
This way we can create an edible landscape that is completely tailored to your needs, wishes and desires.

What is a food forest?
A food forest is a and man-designed forest with a very high number of edible and useful species.
We imitate a natural forest edge and enlarge it into an attractive cultivated landscape.
Tall trees, low trees, shrubs, perennials, climbers, root and tuberous plants are planted to maximise positive interaction.
There is a lot to harvest in a food forest! Nuts, fruit, berries, salads, roots, tubers, mushrooms, herbs, drywood, firewood, etc. And all year round!
The biodiversity, ecological resilience and diversity of a food forest are very high. At maturity, a food forest is completely self-sufficient and climate-proof.
It is a lovely place to be, is low-maintenance and provides tranquillity and nutrition for animals and people.
